In-Store Pickup functionality is for when a customer places their order online and wishes to collect the items from the physical store. The Commerce Order Management provides a web based interface to allow the in-store associate to pick and prepare the items ready for a customer collection. Exceptions such as items not being able to be picked can be handled simply and cleanly from this interface - it’s “Responsive” design means the interface can be used from a tablet device, such as an iPad.

Pick

The picking process consist on gathering relevant products ordered for each customer. This can be done with a mobile device (tablet) using our In-Store Interface (ISI) where store assistants will be able to confirm or decline the picking of a product. It can also be done by printing a pick list and then updating the interface based on final results.

Printing a pick list:

This process will be used in case of not having a tablet available.

1.Go to the Sales > In-Store Pickup page from the left menu.

2.If you have access to multiple stores find the store from where you want to start picking orders.

3.Click the Start picking button next to that store.

A list of all the orders that are pending to be picked will be displayed:

4.Select the order you want to start picking by clicking the Start picking button next to the order

5.Click the print button on the top right corner

Picking an order on the ISI:

On the picking process store assistants have two main actions to perform:

  • Confirm a product has been picked, this have to be done by clicking the green check button the process might take few seconds, once completed the page will be refreshed and the status of the line will change to Pick confirmed.

  • Decline the picking of a product, this can happen for several reasons: product is damaged, out of stock or any other reason available on the ISI, in order to do this you must click the red button.

A list of decline reasons will be prompted:

Once a reason is selected the line status will change to declined, this might take few seconds. Once completed, the page will be refreshed and the new status will be displayed.

Continue picking:

Once the pick list is printed or one line is pick confirmed, the order will change to status “pick in progress”. If the picking process can not be completed at that time and someone else or the same person wants to complete the picking later you must follow similar process as when start picking:

2.If you have access to multiple stores find the store from where you want to start picking orders

3.Click the Continue picking button next to that store

A list of all the orders that are pending to be picked will be displayed.

4.Select the order you want to continue picking by clicking the Re-print button next to the order

5.Continue the picking process as regular

Undo a line pick confirmation or decline:

For orders with more than one line you have the option to change the status of the line before they are all confirmed/declined.

1.Click the Undo button for that line

The line will change to status Pending to pick up for you to confirm or decline it

NOTES:

  • Please be aware that orders with one line do not have this option

  • If all lines have been confirmed or decline it will not be possible either to change the status of the picking

Once all lines for an order have been pick confirmed/decline the status of the order will change to “Pick Confirmed” which means that the order is now ready for the customer to collect it.

Pack

The packing process starts once the picking is done and consist in putting all products into a box and identify the box with the order details.

1.Complete the picking of an order as described on the Pick process.

2.Print the hold document by clicking the Print hold document button on the top right corner of the page.

Note: If the order has not been previously picked this button will not be displayed The hold document will be shown on a new tab in your browser. Now click the Print button on the top right corner of the page.

3.Place this document next to the box with all products from that order, in case of more than one box you can print this document multiple times, one for each box.

Collect

This is the last step to complete an ISPU order, at this moment the customer has come to the store and will decide to keep or not the products reserved online.

1.Go to the Sales > In-Store Pickup page from the left menu.

2.If you have access to multiple stores find the store from where you want to start picking orders.

3.Click the “Customer Collect” button next to that store.

A list of all the orders that are pending to be picked will be displayed:

4.Select the order you want to confirm the customer collection by clicking the Customer PickUp button next to the order.

A page with the details of that order will be displayed, note that the order is now in status Pending Collection.

5.Continue the picking process as regular.

  • Confirm a product has been collected. This have to be done by clicking the green button the process might take few seconds. Once completed the page will be refreshed and the status of the line will change to Collected.

  • Decline the collection of a product. This can happen for several reasons (customer did not like the product, it was a wrong size or any other reason). In order to do this step, you must click the red button and a list of decline reasons will be prompted:

Once a reason is selected the line status will change to “Declined by customer”. This might take a few seconds but once completed, the page will be refreshed and the new status will be “Displayed”.

Once all lines for an order have been customer confirmed/decline the status of the order will change to “Complete” which means that the order is now closed.

NOTE: for ISPU reservations, payments are not tracked, captured or managed into the ISI.
